Shake up a classic Mamma Mia! Margarita for a delicious sip to get your movie night in full swing!

Units Scale
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup boiling water
  • 8 ounces tequila
  • 8 ounces fresh lemon juice
  • 2 ounces Cointreau
  • Large ice block
  • 1/4 cup sea salt


  1. In a measuring cup, stir together the granulated sugar and boiling water until dissolved to make a sugar syrup.
  2. In a shaker, add in a large ice block, then pour in the sugar syrup, tequila, Cointreau and lemon juice.
  3. Press the shaker lid firmly on and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds, until the shaker visibly frosts.
  4. Use a remaining wedge of lemon to wet the rim of a margarita glass, then twist the damp rim on a plate of sea salt (not table salt).
  5. Strain the mixture evenly into the four margarita glasses.
